Pet care is more than appointment dates.

A medication schedule, an unusual symptom, an insurance claim, or a question for the veterinarian can matter months later. PetPalmanac preserves those details while keeping today’s care easy to find.

02

Today at a glance

Review scheduled doses, upcoming appointments, care events, overdue items, and recent activity without digging through every profile.

03

Quick Log and timeline

Record symptoms, appetite, meals, water, bathroom activity, behavior, sleep, weight, seizures, procedures, photos, videos, and ordinary notes in seconds.

04

Medication management

Keep prescriptions, preventatives, supplements, as-needed medicines, schedules, dose outcomes, inventory, refills, food directions, documents, and double-dose warnings together—without erasing completed history.

05

Health and vet preparation

Track conditions, vaccines, weight, lab results, procedures, imaging, visits, and questions. Prepare a useful vet-visit summary or an Emergency Card when you need it.

06

Coverage, claims, and expenses

Keep multiple policies, wellness plans, benefits, deductibles, claims, expenses, receipts, EOBs, and reimbursements tied to the correct animal and plan term.

07

Photos, files, and records

Attach photographs, videos, prescriptions, lab reports, identification records, legal documents, and other files. Search household records and browse images as thumbnails without cluttering the care timeline.

08

Comfortable on your screen

Choose Light or Dark mode and scale the interface from 100% to 140%. Optional tray behavior keeps PetPalmanac nearby without leaving it in the way.

Pet Palmanac
How the name was made

Pet Pal + Almanac = PetPalmanac

Pet Pal reflects the animals we care for and the friendly companion helping manage their information.

An almanac is a reference built over time—a place where useful facts, dates, history, and records are preserved.

The shared “al” joins the two ideas. “Pal” gives the name warmth. “Almanac” gives it purpose. Together, PetPalmanac describes a living reference for an animal’s care and story.

PetPalmanac is the new public identity for the application originally developed under the PetCare Keeper working name.

Made for actual households

Because real pet care rarely fits in one tidy box.

The application can keep the ordinary moments alongside the serious records. These photos come from the same household collection used while building and testing the current gallery features.

Your working records stay on your computer.

The current preview stores its database, settings, attachments, exports, and backups locally. Core use does not depend on a cloud connection.

LOCAL RECORDSDatabase · Attachments · Exports · Backups
01

Back up the complete record

Create a ZIP backup containing the database, settings, and attachments so you can keep a separate copy.

02

Review imported information

When readable details are detected in a lab document, they are presented for review instead of being silently treated as verified medical data.

03

No pretend connections

Claim packages work now. Direct insurer submission remains disabled unless a legitimate approved provider connection becomes available.

04

Information—not a diagnosis

PetPalmanac organizes care information. It does not diagnose conditions, prescribe treatment, or replace veterinary care.

Clear about what exists

What is in the preview—and what comes later.

No fuzzy promises disguised as finished buttons. The Windows foundation is working now; connected experiences remain future development.

Questions, answered plainly

Before you bring every record under one roof.

PetPalmanac is still a preview, so this section separates current capabilities from the roadmap.

What is PetPalmanac?

PetPalmanac is a Windows desktop application for organizing animal health, medications, appointments, insurance, expenses, records, photos, and everyday care information.

Is it only for dogs and cats?

No. It supports common pets, horses, farm animals, birds, reptiles, fish, exotics, and custom animal types.

Where is my information stored?

The current preview stores its working data locally on your Windows computer. You can also create ZIP backups containing the database, settings, and attachments.

Can it submit insurance claims automatically?

Not currently. It can organize claim details and documents and export a claim package for submission through the provider’s approved process.

Can I use it on my phone or synchronize computers?

Not in the current release. Mobile companion apps and encrypted multi-device synchronization are planned future work.

What does “preview” mean?

The application is still under active development. Features and interface details may change, and users should create a backup before installing a newer preview.
